Reflexology(feet, hands, ears) is to support the body in its own healing process.
Knowing that 75 percent of illness is caused by stress, embrace any simple self-care techniques.
Eunice Ingham is considered the Mother of Foot Reflexology and taught and created the charts that are still in use. A physical therapist, she built on the Zone Therapy brought into awareness by Dr William Fitzgerald in 1895. (Pressure when applied to certain points in body could relieve pain and improve functions of certain organs in the body).
Reflexology acts on parts of the body by stimulating the corresponding reflexes with compression techniques applied with the fingers.
These may feel tender, sensitive and sometimes painful; they may feel hard, tight, or like little grains. Working these with pressure they begin to disperse and the corresponding body part will be stimulated.
The pressure that is used is between the giver and receiver. Reflexologists watch the facial expressions to help vary their pressure but your session should be directed by your wishes.
